We all came to camp in November
Hoping it would be a time to remember
Ignoring the squawk of the retarded donkey
We set up our tents in the dark all wonky
We found out our first challenge was a hike
Blindfolded and dumped in the middle of the night
We had a compass and a map to find our way back
We didn’t take long ‘cos we stayed on track
We stayed awake to the early hours
Discussing how Beth likes her showers
Stumbling out of bed in the early morning
Yelled at by Adam without any warning
Bleary eyed and tired with hot tea in a flask
We gathered in the classroom to find our next task
A tightrope challenge across custard in a pool
If you fell off you’ll look like a fool
Joanna was a beast, she remained very calm
Jess panicked and flung herself in Adam’s arms
We were all laughing and standing about
As Chloe fell off and Elly wimped out
Next came the hell holes with bugs in a mixture
The looks on their faces was really a picture
Hands in the box with crickets and more
Feeling for stars that unlucky four
Millie freaked out but Jess got stuck in
Connie just screamed while Elly had a grin
Next came the questions while stood in the shower
If they got it wrong they got covered in flour
The four of them were covered in muck
They found that the gunk in their hair just stuck
Ollie didn’t like it and had a strop
But in the next challenge he came out top
Remembering things in a box is what they must do
A plate some rope and elephants times two
Stars stuck in jelly in the bottom of a bowl
Covered in water that was really cold
Get the stars with their teeth while trying not to choke
Millie was too eager so the bowl then broke
The water then poured all over the floor
There was so much it was nearly running out the door
Next came the challenge that was the worst of the lot
To get any points they gave it a shot
Rachel chundered and the rest felt sick
They grabbed for the water and drunk it down quick
Later Tim was keen with his campfire songs
We all just laughed and the sang along
Matthew wowed us with his amazing hymns
He taught us that god forgave all his sins
We stumbled to bed as the day came to an end
It had been a really great weekend
As we packed our stuff underwear was found
All dirty and soggy lying on the ground
No one claimed them what a surprise
Someone here must be telling lies
I guess about that we’ll never know
But now we’re packed and ready to go
And one last thing we want to say
Is thanks to the leaders for two great days.

We have all been on explorer camp
And now we all look like tramps
We met some donkeys called Harry and Ed
We gave them hay and patted their head
Each of us did a trial
Some of them were really vile
Rachel chundered and got in a mess
Adam got a lovely big hug from Jess
Verity did a massive poo
It was so big it blocked the loo
Or was it Simon who overflowed the toilets capacity
Lewis’s obsession, “Oh the audacity”
James got angry about some peel
In the end they made a deal
Molly thinks that Jamie is dishy
Everyone thinks it’s rather fishy
Our mascots were Jonty and Baby
Connie left her pants – maybe
Today is the day we have to depart
At least now we don’t have to smell Verity’s farts
Connie told everyone to go away
But Verity decided to smile and say “get out of my life”

On Friday I went for a hike then I have hot dogs for dinner then I went to sleep in a tent. On Saturday I wake up and have breakfast then I play games in the morning then I have lunch then I play game in the afternoon then we play games in the evening then we have dinner then we went to the campfire and we sang song then we went to sleep in our tent. Then on today on Sunday we are going home.

“It was gross, I hated it
And the goggles didn’t fit”

Ellie did the balance beam
The tightrope was between the trees
Rescuing animals in the leaves
Connie’s challenge was quite mean
Connie couldn’t help but scream
“AHHHHHH”!!!?
Rupert the cricket was my friend
But Beth the cricket met her end
One weekend without the telly
Beth put her face into the jelly
Had to wash out every bit
She couldn’t get her teeth in it
Molly had a bit to eat
Not as bad as Vev’s feet
The ox tongue and the jellied eel
Made them all want to squeal
Camp was good
10 out of 10
